As a photographer, capturing Mayday's electrifying performance at the beautiful Windmill Cove is aways an unforgettable experience. Fronted by my close friend Steven Louie, who is about to undergo rough cancer treatment, this show held a special place in my heart. Steven's strength and spirit on stage were awe-inspiring and the crowd responded with the same energy. Alongside him, Brandon on guitar, Journey on bass and vocals, and Romano on drums delivered a set list brimming with classic rock anthems that had the crowd singing along and dancing from start to finish.
One of the special moments of the day was Steven's heartfelt tribute to another fallen artist, Marirose. His words and performance added by Brandon Cline playing an acoustic played Marirose signature song. They gave the performance with an emotional depth that was felt with everyone present. Despite the warm weather, the audience was up, dancing, singing, and cheering for the band, their energy and enthusiasm evident in every shot I captured.
Windmill weather was a refreshing breeze, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. From my vantage point behind the lens, I could see the joy and connection Mayday created with their fans, making each photograph a testament to the night's vibrant energy and emotional significance.
Their dynamic energy, tight musicianship, and passion for rock music, combined with the emotional weight of Steven's journey, created a truly memorable experience. I am proud to share these amazing photos, capturing a night that will stay with us all.
