One of the bands I see out of town that I would love to have here in Lodi is Luvsikangel! I caught them live at a local venue last night, and they deliver an energy that could rival any national act. From the moment they hit the stage, Luvsikangel electrified the crowd. The guitarist, rocking a distinctive headband, dove into his riffs with such passion, you’d swear the guitar was just an extension of his body. The bassist, cool as a cucumber, commanded the stage with a quiet intensity that’s rare in today’s music scene. His T-shirt, adorned with the faces of music legends, was a perfect nod to the greats while setting the tone for the night.
Way in the back—thrashing with rhythmic precision, his dynamic playing was the backbone of their sound, blending seamlessly with the rest of the band to create a powerful sonic experience. Hair and sweat flying with all the passion of a seasoned professional!! Whether laying down solid grooves or exploding into frenetic drum fills, he kept the energy high and the audience on their feet.
The star of the show? Their phenomenal vocalist, a 4'11" powerhouse dressed in a polka dot dress that screams rockabilly with a modern twist. She captured the audience with her magnetic presence and when she sang, it was with a force that belied her petite stature. This wasn’t just a gig; it was an experience, a journey through the heart and soul of music. I love this band and as it is only my second time seeing them, I can't wait for more!!!!
